Cup games cause several of Consett’s fixtures to be changed

Despite the fact the new season is just a week old, Consett fans already have a raft of fixture changes to add to their diaries.

For a start, yesterday’s FA Cup draw with Dunston means we will now replay the tie at the UTS Stadium at 7.30pm on Tuesday, August 13. Admission is £7 for adults and £4 for concessions.

This means the home league game which was meant to be played that night against Guisborough Town has been rescheduled, to Tuesday, September 17.

Meanwhile, Whickham’s progress in the FA Cup means our home league game against them, which was due to be on Saturday, August 24, will now take place on Tuesday, August 27 – cup replays permitting, of course.

Finally, Bedlington Terriers have moved their midweek games from Tuesday to Wednesday, which means our League Cup game at Welfare Park will now take place on Wednesday, October 2, a day later than scheduled.
