Consett get a home draw in the FA Vase 5th Round

Consett were today handed a home tie in the 5th Round of the Buildbase FA Vase – but we’ll have to wait to find out our opponents.

Our reward for Saturday’s excellent 3-1 win over United Counties League side Lutterworth Town from Leicestershire is a home draw v either Deal Town or Binfield, who drew 1-1 at the weekend.

The game will take place at Belle View Stadium on Saturday, February 8.

Deal Town are from Kent, and are currently 10th in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division. They won the FA Vase back in 2000, beating Chippenham Town 1-0 at Wembley.

Binfield are from Berkshire, and are 3rd in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League. Reaching the 4th Round this season has already equalled their best-ever FA Vase performance.

The two other Northern League clubs who made the last 16 have both been handed away ties.

West Auckland Town will travel to Plymouth Parkway of the Western league, while Hebburn Town will travel to Longridge Town of the North West Counties League.
