Date set for Consett’s cup visit to ‘The Morgue’ while West Auckland game is put back due to FA Vase progress

Consett have some new dates for their fixture list as a result of progressing to the 6th Round of the FA Vase.

Saturday 29 February will now see the club contest the quarter-final of the national competition for the first time in our history.

This means the scheduled league game against West Auckland Town has had to be switched, and it will now take placeon Tuesday, 14 April, KO 7.30pm. At the moment that will now be opur last home league game of the season.

A date has also been fixed for our visit to North Shields’ Daren Persson Stadium – affectionately known as ‘The Morgue’ – for our League Cup quarter-final.

That game will take place on Wednesday, 11 March, KO 7.30pm, and must be settled on the night, with penalties if the scores are level after 90 minutes.

We will find our opponents in the next round of the FA Vase at about 1pm tomorrow. The other clubs through to the last eight are Bitton, Corinthian, fellow Northern League side Hebburn Town, Leighton Town, Plymouth Parkway, Wroxham and either Atherstone Town/Worcester City, who drew yesterday.
