Consett and Hebburn kept apart in FA Vase semi-final draw + more fixture changes

Consett and fellow Northern League side Hebburn Town were today kept apart in the draw for the semi-finals of the Buildbase FA Vase.

It means that an all-Northern League final remains a possibility – if we join the Hornets in the last four by winning our quarter-final at Atherstone Town, and we both get through our semi-finals.

Today’s draw saw the winners of our delayed tie vs Atherstone – which will now be played at The Mark Webster Community Stadium at 3pm on Saturday, March 7 – drawn against Western League side Bitton AFC in the semi-finals.

The ties take place over two legs, home and away, with Bitton at home in the first leg on Saturday March 21, then away on Saturday March 28.

The other tie sees Hebburn, who beat Plymouth Parkway 2-0 on Saturday in front of a record crowd of 1,705, enjoy home advantage in the second leg against Corinthian from the Southern Counties East League, or Leighton Town from the Spartan South Midlands League.

Our ongoing FA Vase commitments mean that several league fixtures have been rearranged, as follows:

Seaham Red Star (A) will now take place on Tuesday April 14, KO 7.30pm

North Shields (H) will now take place on Thursday, April 16, KO 7.30pm

West Auckland Town (H) will now take place on Saturday, April 25, KO 3pm
