FA Vase: Consett’s semi-final v Bitton to be settled over one leg as date is set for Wembley final

Consett’s outstanding FA Vase semi-final against Bitton will be settled over one game instead of two, the club was told by the FA today.

The final itself has been confirmed for Wembley Stadium on Sunday 27 September (KO time to be confirmed).

But instead of being played home and away, the semi-finals will be settled by a one-off match.

A draw is to be held tomorrow afternoon to decide whether the game is played at Consett or Bitton. We’ll update social media as soon as we know.

The game is scheduled to be played some time between 6 September and 16 September.

Supporters understandably have many questions about tickets, and capacity limits, but the answer to them all at the moment is simply – we don’t know.
