Consett’s home game with Hebburn set to be a mouth-watering end-of-season clash

Consett’s home league game against FA Vase final opponents Hebburn Town will bring this season’s Belle View fixtures to a close.

The eagerly-awaited Division One clash was due to be played on Saturday, December 5 – the first matchday after the current lockdown is lifted.

But it has had to be rearranged, as both clubs will be playing in this season’s FA Vase 2nd Round that day.

The Northern League has pencilled in the game for 3pm on Saturday, May 1, which, at the moment, will make it our final home game of the season.

With both clubs hoping to clinch promotion, as well as enjoying Wembley success, it promises to provide an exciting end to the campaign.

Last season’s two games couldn’t separate the two teams, with a 0-0 stalemate at Hebburn followed by a thrilling 4-4 draw at Belle View.
