Consett’s away game at Tadcaster falls victim to the weather

Consett’s scheduled away game at Tadcaster Albion today has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

A pitch inspection at Ings Lane at 9am found the ground frozen and unplayable, leaving no option but to call off the Northern Premier League game.

It is the third home game in a week that Tadcaster have had postponed, and Consett’s third call-off in their last four scheduled fixtures.

The game will be rearranged for a date to be agreed between the clubs and confirmed by the league.

We are still awaiting confirmation of a new date for the home game against Cleethorpes Town, which was postponed on Tuesday 17 January.

The away game at North Shields, postponed on 7 January, will now take place on Wednesday 15 February, with a 7.45pm kick-off.
