Consett face former Northern League rivals North Shields in their next away day

Consett face two away games in four days this week, starting with the visit to North Shields on Wednesday, 15 February.

The game at the Daren Persson Stadium was originally meant to be played on 7 January, but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Due to the fact it’s a local game, there is no official club travel to the game.

Kick-off is 7.45pm, and admission is £9 for adults, £6 for senior citizen concessions and £3 for children. Please note that it’s cash only at the gate.

The Robins produce a printed programme, which is on sale from a hut inside the turnstiles, priced £2.50.

The sides have already met this season, drawing 0-0 at Belle View back in August, in our first home game in the Northern Premier League, pictured top.

At the weekend Consett will travel to Bridlington Town, who play at The Hudgell Solicitor Stadium, Queensgate, Bridlington (YO16 7LN).

Places are available now on the official club coach to the game, priced at the stand-ard fare of £20. Seats can be booked at the bar and must be paid for in advance.

If you’re making your own way down, its 106 miles and the drive will take about 2 hours 45 minutes. There’s plenty of free parking spaces within the ground. If you’re travelling by public transport, Bridlington station is three-quarters of a mile away.

The clubhouse, which shows live football on Sky Sports and BT Sport, is open before and after the game, and you’ll find a snackbar inside the ground offering the usual football fayre.

Admission is £8 for adults, £5 for concessions and £4 for under-16s. Turnstiles open an hour before kick-off.

Town also produce an award-winning printed pro-gramme, priced £2, which is available from the programme hut inside the ground.

We have visited Queensgate once before, back in 2018-19, when we lost 1-0 after extra time in the FA Vase 2nd Qualifying Round.
