Consett celebrate the season’s outstanding performers at their 2024 presentation night

Consett AFC celebrated their outstanding performers of the 2023-24 season tonight at their annual presentation night at Belle View Stadium.

Two players picked up a brace of awards each, and two others received the club’s most prestigious accolades.

Dan Capewell, pictured top with supporter Jason Barron and manager Tony Fawcett, was the first double winner, as Supporters’ Player of Year and Manager’s Player of the Year.

The other double winner was Jake Orrell, who was Player of the Year and won Goal of the Season for his spectacular free-kick v Spennymoor Town in the Durham Challenge Cup, below. It was the second year in a row he had won the best goal award.

Wil Shaw was top scorer with 16 goals in his first season with the club, while ever-present Calvin Smith was named Players’ Player of the Year.
