Consett have been drawn at home in the FA Vase as they enter this season’s competition at the 1st Round stage.

They will face Atherton Laburnum Rovers from the North West Counties League 1st Division on Saturday, 23 October, with a 3pm kick-off. It will be the clubs’ first-ever meeting.

Atherton – not to be confused with Atherstone Town, who we beat in the 6th Round on the way to the 2020 final – are from the Greater Manchester area.

They progressed to the 1st Round with a 4-0 win at fellow NWCFL club Daisy Hill at the weekend.

Their best FA Vase run was back in 1993-94, when they reached the semi-finals.
